My name is Ville. I'm a freelance photojournalist who loves to meet people and tell their stories.
Photography assignments have taken me around the world: from Bolivian salt flats to Indonesian coral reefs, and from Mongolian steppe to Amazon rainforest. In 2015 and 2016 I photographed in Chile, Switzerland, Lapland, Norway, Luxemburg, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Canary Islands, South Africa, Kenya, Liberia, South Sudan and Somaliland.
Most of the time I work in Finland. I shoot reportages and editorial/corporate portraits. I have a studio in Kallio district, but I prefer to shoot portraits on location.
I shoot reportages and editorial portraits, and write feature stories in both Finnish and English.
I also write articles, in both Finnish and English. My feature stories and shorter texts have been published in several magazines including Finnair Blue Wings, Mondo, Image, Viini, Maailman Kuvalehti and Kehitys-Utveckling.
You can check out examples of my work here.
I've also launched an online travel media called Kerran elämässä (Once in a lifetime) – take a look!
